Game Description

Keno is a 20/80 Lottery Draw Game with set prize amounts. For each drawing, a player may choose to play from one to 10 spots and a corresponding selection of number choices from one to 80. That is the player's game play. The Lottery then selects 20 winning numbers from one to eighty. The Lottery awards prizes based on the extent to which the game play appearing on a player's ticket matches the winning numbers in a drawing for which the player's ticket was purchased.

Price

  1. The price of a ticket is determined by the amount of money a player chooses to play on the game plays selected multiplied by the number of drawings in which the ticket will be played. A player may also choose the Club Keno Multiplier option or the Bulls-Eye option that will increase the cost of the ticket by $1 for every $1 wagered. The Double Bulls-Eye option adds $2 for every $1 wagered.

  2. A ticket may be purchased for one drawing or for multiple, consecutive drawings.
    (a) A player may purchase a ticket for a single drawing for $1 to $5, in whole dollar amounts, $10, or $20.
    (b) The price of a ticket for play in multiple, consecutive drawings is the price of a ticket for a single drawing, ranging from $1 to $5, $10 or $20 as selected by the player, multiplied by the number of consecutive drawings in which the ticket will be played.

  3. The minimum ticket price for multiple, consecutive drawings is $2 ($1 x 2 consecutive drawings = $2).

  4. The maximum ticket price for any Club Keno ticket is $200.

  5. A playslip indicating a price greater than $200 is automatically rejected by the terminal.

Ticket Purchase, Characteristics and Restrictions

  1. (a) General: Keno tickets may be purchased every day of the year during the hours of operation of the Lottery’s online game system and a Lottery retailer’s business hours.
    (b) Default: A player may purchase a ticket for play under either the Club Keno prize structure or the Bulls-Eye Keno prize structure or the Double Bulls-Eye prize structure. If a player does not select the Bulls-Eye option or the Double Bulls-Eye option when purchasing a ticket, the ticket is played under the Club Keno prize structure.
    (c) Multiplier Option: A player may purchase the Club Keno Multiplier option on any Club Keno game play by using a Multiplier playslip or by requesting it from the retailer on a play made through the terminal keyboard. If a player does not select the Club Keno Multiplier option when purchasing a ticket, the ticket is played under the Club Keno prize structure.

  2. a) Ticket purchase: Tickets may be purchased from a terminal operated by a retailer, i.e., a clerk-operated terminal. To play Club Keno, a player must complete a playslip for input into a terminal or request a Quick Pick from a clerk.
    (b) Completing a play slip: A player must choose a game play by one of two methods. A player may select from one to 10 numbers from the 80 number choices contained on the playslip. Alternatively, the player may select the Quick Pick option. A player must also complete the selections on the playslip regarding the amount of money to be played on the ticket per drawing, the number of multiple, consecutive drawings in which to play the ticket and the price of the ticket. The player may select the Bulls-Eye option, the Double Bulls-Eye option or the Club Keno Multiplier option, depending on which playslip is used.
    (c) Purchasing a ticket from a clerk-operated terminal: After the player completes a playslip and submits it, along with the price of the ticket, to the clerk, the clerk shall use the terminal to issue a ticket to the player. The player may also request that a clerk, without using a playslip, electronically submit a request for a Quick Pick through the terminal with the player informing the clerk of the number of spots to be played, the amount of money to be played on the ticket per drawing, the number of multiple, consecutive drawings in which to play the ticket, and whether the player wants the Bulls-Eye option, the Double Bulls-Eye option, the Club Keno Multiplier option or no option.

  2. Objective: Each drawing randomly selects 20 numbers from a possible 80 numbers that are the winning numbers. The winning numbers selected at each drawing are generated through the use of a computer-driven random number generator.

  3. Selection of the Bulls-Eye Numbers: The Lottery will conduct a separate random Bulls-Eye number drawings and announce the result after each of the regular Club Keno drawings by displaying the Red Bulls-Eye number and then the Green Bulls-Eye number on the Keno monitor immediately after each new Club Keno game drawn and after the previous game pool closes. During each random Bulls-Eye number drawing, two numbers will be selected. The first will be the Red Bulls-Eye number and the second will be the Green Bulls-Eye number. The Bulls-Eye numbers available for selection are two of the 20 winning numbers (from the pool of 80 Club Keno numbers) that are selected during each Club Keno Drawing. The Bulls-Eye numbers selected during each drawing are generated through the use of a computer-driven random number generator.

  4. Selection of the Club Keno Multiplier Number: The Lottery will conduct a separate random Keno Multiplier drawing and announce the result prior to each of the regular Club Keno drawings by displaying the Club Keno Multiplier number on the Keno monitor immediately prior to each new Keno game drawn and after the previous game pool closes. The Keno Multiplier number selected at each drawing is generated through the use of a computer-driven random number generator.

Validating Multi-draw tickets

A game ticket containing a winning game play and purchased for play in multiple, consecutive drawings may be validated prior to the occurrence of future drawings for which the game ticket was purchased. An exchange ticket shall be issued, at the time the original game ticket is validated, for the remainder of the drawings appearing on the validated game ticket.

Keno Prizes

Section (1) of this rule specifies prizes for Club Keno, Bulls-Eye and Double Bulls-Eye.

  1. Prizes for each drawing are determined and awarded based on how many numbers contained in a game play on a ticket match the winning numbers selected at that drawing. Prizes are determined separately for each spot category.

  2. The total prize amount for a winning ticket multiplies according to the amount wagered on that ticket. The highest potential prize for any Club Keno ticket is $1 million per drawing. If a ticket shows a wager of $2, $3, $4, $5, $10, or $20 per drawing on a winning game play, the prize shown above for a $1 wager shall multiply, up to $1 million, according to the wager amount shown on the winning ticket. For example, if a ticket shows a $5 wager on the 2-spot category and the game play on the ticket matches two out of two of the winning numbers, the prize associated with that ticket is $10 x $5 = $50. All Club Keno prizes are capped at $1 million.

  3. Winning prizes with Double Bulls-Eye:
    a) Match the Club Keno numbers played to the red Bulls-Eye number with no other Club Keno numbers matching those drawn.
