While buying Mega Millions tickets during the record-breaking $1.5 billion jackpot run last month, James and Pam Hamilton decided to throw in a Quick Pick ticket for the upcoming Powerball drawing on Oct. 20. The Princeton couple’s single Powerball ticket would go on to win $50,000.

“We’re going to use some of that to take the grandkids to Disney World,” shared Pam. “We would like to do it before Thanksgiving as an early Christmas present.”

James purchased their winning Powerball ticket at Casey’s General Store, 21649 Highway 65, in Princeton. The winning numbers on Oct. 20 were: 16, 54, 57, 62, 69, and the Powerball number was 23.

Powerball is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game that features jackpots starting at $40 million. Powerball drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. View all current and past winning numbers at MOLottery.com.
