Twenty-two-year-old Erin Davis of Independence is $100,000 richer after claiming a top prize on a Missouri Lottery Scratchers game. The store manager at a Spirit Halloween shop said she bought her winning ticket at Conoco, 723 Main St. in Grain Valley, on her way to work.
While claiming the prize at the Lottery’s Independence office, Davis, who won on a “$100,000 Crossword” ticket, ironically had this to say about the win:  “I don’t have words!”
Davis noted that the prize will “make life easier,” adding that she plans to use the windfall to pay bills.

$100,000 Crossword,”  a $5 game with prizes ranging from $5 to $100,000, officially started on June 6.
