A Kansas City woman claimed a $50,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery “Money Bags” Scratchers ticket. Clara Bell, 62, bought the winning ticket at QuikTrip, 6641 Truman Road, in Kansas City.

“I got home, and I scratched it, and I screamed. My son thought something happened to momma,” recalled Bell. “My heart was beating a 100 miles an hour.

“I play Money Bags all the time, because you can win big money on it!” she added.

Bell claimed the sixth top prize in the game. She said she planned to use some of the money for a new car to haul her eight grandchildren around.

“I’m trying to get me an SUV or something like that. I have plans to do some things to my house, and I’ll save a lot of it,” she explained.

Most importantly is what the prize means for her grandchildren.

“I can do Christmas for them this year,” she declared.

Moneybags” is a $3 game that officially began June 6. Singleton claimed the sixth top prize in the game. More than $2 million in prizes, including one top prize, remain in the game. Track prizes remaining for any Missouri Lottery Scratchers game here at MOLottery.com.
