A Kirksville woman bought a $100,000 winning Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket on the way to work. Tracy Ockenfels, 46, bought the winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 503 S. Franklin, in Kirksville. She uncovered the first top prize in “Happy Holidays” Scratchers game.

Ockenfels said that sitting on the $100,000 prize while completing the work day was the most difficult thing she’s ever done. She claimed the prize the following day, Oct. 25, at Lottery headquarters in Jefferson City.

Happy Holidays” is a $5 game that officially began Oct. 21. The game has more than $9 million in prizes remaining, including three top prizes of $100,000. This game is one of five holiday-themed Scratchers that are eligible for entry in the “Dashing Through The Snow” second-chance promotion. Players will have the chance to win one of 12 “Warehouse Dash” prizes that include a three-day, two-night shopping spree in Chicago, in addition to shopping sprees and cash prizes.
