Another Coldwell Banker realtor has found luck on a Missouri Lottery game. Kimberly Delapp of Arnold uncovered a $100,000 prize on a “Millionaire” Scratchers ticket last month. The 47-year-old Jefferson County resident joked that the win now puts her in an “exclusive winners’ club” with co-worker Jamie Bone, who won $1 million playing Powerball on May 18.
“We play a lot at the office,” Delapp shared. “I’m still in shock. I’m like, ‘pinch me, wake up!’”
While claiming her prize, Delapp explained how she found out she’d won via a telephone call from her boyfriend.
“He called to let me know he bought me a ticket, because he knows I like to play,” she remembered, teasing that since she is “so impatient,” she advised him to scratch it for her while they were on the line.
The first-time Lottery winner said it was “surreal” when she realized she’d won.
“I’m still in shock,” she added.
The mother-of-two intends to use the windfall to “have a good Christmas” with her family.
The winning ticket was sold at Circle K, 2001 Richardson Road, in Arnold.
“Millionaire,” a $10 game that offers more than 100 prizes ranging from $10,000 to $1 million, officially started on May 20. To date, two $1 million top prizes remain in play.
