After checking his Show Me Cash ticket, a Missouri Lottery player found himself in disbelief when all of his numbers matched the winning numbers for the Dec. 23 drawing – 8, 12, 21, 33 and 39 – leading to a $238,000 prize.
The winner immediately recognized the numbers drawn as soon as he saw them.
“I scrambled around looking for my ticket,” he shared. “I just couldn’t believe it.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Hy-Vee, 4545 South Noland Road, in Independence. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling a jackpot winning Show Me Cash ticket.
Show Me Cash is drawn daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won. Tonight’s Show Me Cash jackpot is $260,000.
In the FY22, players who purchased tickets in Jackson County won more than $103.1 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers in the county received more than $9.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $50.2 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
