A Missouri Lottery player won a $100,000 prize on a “$2,000,000 Jackpot Fortune” Scratchers ticket that was gifted to her by her husband. He purchased the ticket at Schnucks, 3740 Monticello Plaza in St. Charles, before surprising her with it on her birthday.  

“I was scratching it off, and I saw one of the symbols right away,” the winner explained. “And my son – who has played them before – just starts going, ‘What? What?!’”

They quickly finished scratching off the ticket and discovered she had won a $100,000 prize.

“I think they were more excited than I was!” she joked, recalling the reactions of her son and husband.  “They were holding each other and jumping up and down!”

“$2,000,000 Jackpot Fortune” players have won over $13.1 million in prizes since the game began on April 28. Over $37.6 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including a top prize of $2 million and three more prizes of $100,000.  

Players who purchased tickets in St. Charles County last fiscal year won more than $68.2 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $6.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $16.5 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
