A Missouri Lottery player in St. Louis purchased a “$250 Million Extravaganza” Scratchers ticket worth $50,000 – thanks to a win on a previous Scratchers game.

“I had won $100 on a different ticket and saw the new ticket and bought a couple of them,” the winner shared. “On the first one, I uncovered a 50X symbol on a $1,000 prize! 

“It couldn’t have been better timing!” he added.

He purchased the winning ticket at QuikTrip, 2600 Chouteau Ave., in St. Louis.

To date, players have won more than $25.7 million in prizes in the “$250 Million Extravaganza” game, with more than $241 million in prizes yet to be claimed – including three top prizes of $5 million, three $1 million second-tier prizes and an additional 45 $50,000 prizes.

In FY24, St. Louis City players won more than $45 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $4.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $36.9 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the city.
