A specially selected set of numbers landed a Missouri Lottery player $50,000 in the Oct. 19 Powerball drawing – a fact he wouldn’t know for several days.
It was a few days after the drawing that his wife stopped to check the ticket they had purchased at Casey’s, 2501 Miller St. in Bethany, to see if they had won. He said she was unable to contain her excitement when the clerk showed her how much the ticket was worth.
“She was pretty animated!” the winner laughed. “I thought she was pulling my leg at first.”
The winning numbers on Oct. 19 were 7, 16, 19, 45, and 64 with a Powerball of 25.
Powerball is a multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. The estimated jackpot for Saturday, Oct. 26, is $20 million.
Through Oct. 30, players who purchase three Powerball plays on a single-ticket will receive a free Powerball ticket ($2 value) as part of the “Jackpot Reset Promotion.”
In FY24, players in Harrison County won more than $1.3 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $132,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $150,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
