A pit stop after work led one lucky Missouri Lottery player to a $1 million top prize on a “$1,000,000 Cash Craze” Scratchers ticket he purchased at FastLane, 600 Highway 24 E., in Moberly.
“It was late and there weren’t many places open,” the winner said. “At first I wasn’t going to buy any tickets, but this was a newer ticket, so I thought I would try one.”
As he was scratching the ticket, he noticed there was an instant-win symbol instead of a number on one of the spots. He couldn’t believe it when he then uncovered a $1 million prize.
“I asked the attendant to look at it. I think he had a bigger smile than I did when he looked at it!” the winner shared. “That’s when I knew I really won!”
“$1,000,000 Cash Craze” players have won more than $9.8 million in prizes since the $10 game was released at the end of December. There are currently over $24.3 million in prizes still unclaimed, including an additional $1 million prize and three $50,000 prizes.
In FY24, players in Randolph County won more than $5.2 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $520,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $760,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
