The holiday celebrations started early for one Missouri Lottery player when he won the first $50,000 prize on the new “Deck the Halls” Scratchers game.
He purchased the winning ticket at Pump N’ Pete’s, 2816 Hazel St. in Carthage, and later claimed his prize at the Missouri Lottery’s Springfield office on Nov. 1.
“Deck the Halls” players have already won more than $1.1 million in prizes since the $3 game was released on Oct. 14. Over $5.3 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including three more top prizes of $50,000.
In FY24, players in Jasper County won more than $15 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $1.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $3.5 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
