Just weeks after the “Big Cash Riches” Scratchers ticket made its debut, a Missouri Lottery player in Mississippi County has won the first of seven top prizes of $100,000 offered in the game.
The winning ticket was purchased at Casey’s, 211 S. Story St. in Charleston, and the prize was claimed at the Missouri Lottery’s St. Louis regional office on Dec. 5.
Since the $5 game began on Nov. 25, players have won over $2.4 million in prizes. Over $17.9 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including six more prizes of $100,000 and six prizes of $20,000.
In FY24, players in Mississippi County won more than $3.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $380,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $62,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
