A Missouri Lottery player was beside himself after revealing a top prize on a “Big Money” Scratchers ticket he purchased at Gas N Shop, 3601 Harry S. Truman Blvd. in St. Charles.
“My heart was beating so fast, I thought I was going to have a heart attack!” the winner declared after claiming his $100,000 prize at the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office.
He already knew exactly how he wanted to use some of the money.
“I just moved and plan to buy some furniture,” he shared.
“Big Money” players have won over $8.2 million in prizes since the $5 game was released. Over $6 million in prizes remain unclaimed, including two more top prizes of $100,000 and four $20,000 prizes.
In FY24, players in St. Charles County won more than $68.2 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $6.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $16.5 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
