A lucky Missouri Lottery player won a $462,000 jackpot prize when he matched all five numbers in the March 9 Show Me Cash drawing. He purchased the winning ticket at QuikTrip, 2105 N. Highway 67, in Florissant.
“I was checking my numbers on the Lottery app,” the winner explained. “It showed I won, but then I started questioning, ‘Am I the only winner?’”
While claiming his prize at the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office, Lottery officials confirmed his ticket was the only ticket sold to match all five winning numbers that night – 1, 2, 4, 7 and 23.
“At first I was in disbelief,” he laughed. “Then, after claiming the prize, it became a little more real. But it was really real when it hit my bank account!”.
Show Me Cash is drawn daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won. Tonight’s jackpot is estimated at $216,000.
In FY24, players in St. Louis County won more than $200.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $19.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $161.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
