A Missouri Lottery player in St. Louis County won a $50,000 Powerball prize in the Sept. 16 drawing on a Quick Pick ticket she purchased at QuikTrip, 10768 W. Florissant Ave., in Ferguson. The ticket matched four out of the five white-ball numbers, plus the Powerball number drawn.
“I was in shock! It was only one number away from the big jackpot!” the winner exclaimed. “I called my son and had him look at the ticket to make sure I won.”
The winning numbers for Sept. 16 were 8, 9, 11, 27 and 31, with a Powerball number of 17.
Powerball is a multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. Tonight’s Powerball jackpot is estimated at $315 million.
In FY24, players in St. Louis County won more than $200.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $19.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $161.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
