A Missouri Lottery player felt extremely lucky after she uncovered a $50,000 prize on a “$5,000,000 Fortune” Scratchers ticket.
She had stopped at QuikTrip, 13100 Holmes Road in Kansas City, when she decided to purchase the $50 ticket.
“I started screaming when I saw how much I won!” the winner declared.
Excited about her win, she shared the news of her good fortune with a few close friends and family members.
“My parents have always supported me in everything I have done, so I plan to give back to them,” she explained. “We are going to have a great Christmas this year!”
“$5,000,000 Fortune” players have won over $52.1million in prizes so far. Over $200.4 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including two top prizes of $5 million, three $1 million prizes and 31 additional $50,000 prizes.
In FY24, players in Jackson County won more than $109.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $9.8 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $22 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
