A couple who won a $100,000 prize on a “$3 Million Supreme” Scratchers ticket had no idea they would need help to add up their big win. But that’s what happened after the husband used the Missouri Lottery website to pick their game.
“The website is great for helping us pick tickets,” the wife said. “We pull it up on the iPad, and we’ll go through it together to look for which ticket he wants.”
After they decided to get one of the $30 tickets at QuikTrip, 3551 Highway Point Drive in Rolla, she scratched if off.
“All I saw was the symbols, and I thought he won like $5,000,” she said.
She called her son over to check it out, and he instantly realized it was a much bigger win.
“He kept saying, ‘Look at the numbers!’” she said. “My husband was going crazy, and we had to get the calculator out to figure out how much we won!”
Once totaled, she realized they had won one of three $100,000 prizes offered in the game.
“We were very excited!” she added.
So far, “$3 Million Supreme” players have won over $21.5 million in prizes. There are currently over $88 million in unclaimed prizes, including two top prizes of $3 million and an additional $100,000 prize.
Players who purchased tickets in Phelps County in FY24 won more than $8.6 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $843,000 in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $1.7 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
