A pair of Missouri Lottery players in St. Charles County has claimed a $1 million prize after matching all five white-ball numbers in the Dec. 23 Powerball drawing.
The lucky ticket was purchased at On the Run, 4501 Highway K in O’Fallon, with the winning number combination of 9, 14, 17, 18 and 53. The Powerball number drawn on Dec. 23 was 6.
The win marked the ninth Missouri Lottery prize of $50,000 or more won on a ticket sold in O’Fallon in 2023.
Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is an estimated $60 million. If the jackpot is hit, the “Jackpot Reset” promotion will be activated – giving players who buy three Powerball plays on a single ticket a free $2 Powerball ticket.
In FY23, players in St. Charles County won more than $63.3 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $6.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $6.3 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
