A $100,000 top prize has been won in Perry County on a Frogger Scratchers game from the Missouri Lottery. The winning ticket was purchased at Walmart, 1750 S. Perryville Blvd., in Perryville.
The winner spotted the ticket among the new arrivals and decided to give it a try.
“I like playing the Scratchers, and it was one of the new ones,” the winner said.
After checking over the scratched off ticket, she confessed she could not believe she had won.
“I thought I must have read it wrong! I was in shock!” she said.
The Frogger ticket features the classic arcade game theme in its play action, allowing Scratchers players to try to maneuver their frogs through traffic and across the river to safety. In addition to offering prizes up to $100,000, the $5 game is also loaded with $25-$100 prizes.
To date, $2.8 million in unclaimed prizes remain in the game.
In FY23, Missouri Lottery players in Perry County – where the winning ticket was sold – won more than $3.7 million in prizes. Retailers in the county earned more than $393,000 in commissions, and $80,000 in educational programs were funded by Missouri Lottery proceeds.
