A Missouri Lottery player uncovered one of six $100,000 top prizes on a “Double-Sided-Dollars” Scratchers ticket she purchased at Food Giant, 1120 N. Kingshighway St., in Cape Girardeau.
It’s the second time this summer a Missouri Lottery prize of $50,000 or more has been won in Cape Girardeau. The first was from a Powerball ticket purchased at D-Mart 2 for the June 10 drawing.
To date, players have won over $8 million in total prizes playing the $5 “Double-Sided Dollars” game. There are currently over $11 million remaining in unclaimed prizes in the game – including four additional top prizes of $100,000.
In FY23, players in Cape Girardeau County won more than $12.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $1.1 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $8.6 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
