The third time was a charm for a Missouri Lottery player, whose early morning stop at QuikTrip, 705 S.W. 40 Highway in Blue Springs, led to a $100,000 Scratchers prize on a “$100 Million Cash Bonanza” ticket.
“I purchased two tickets, but something told me to get one more,” the winner explained. “And that one was it!”
After scratching the ticket, he shared the news of his win with the store clerk and asked her “not to yell or anything.”
The winner said, “I have won small amounts on this ticket before, and I just like this one.”
“$100 Million Cash Bonanza” players have won more than $88.2 million in prizes since the ticket was released. Prizes totaling over $24.4 million remain unclaimed, including two top prizes worth $4 million each and four additional $100,000 prizes.
In FY23, players in Jackson County won more than $108.7 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $9.9 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $15.5 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
