A woman in Jackson County won $50,000 when she matched four of the white-ball numbers, plus the Powerball, in the Feb. 19 drawing. She later claimed the prize at the Lottery’s Kansas City office.
The winning ticket was sold at Zipz Fuel Expresso, 13920 S. Highway 71, in Grandview. The winning numbers were 4, 23, 45, 50 and 53, with a Powerball of 17.
Powerball is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. The estimated jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing is $559 million.
If the Powerball jackpot is won, the “Powerball Jackpot Reset” promotion will activate. For seven days after a Powerball jackpot is won, the “Jackpot Reset” promotion will offer players a free Powerball ticket with a qualifying purchase.
In FY23, players in Jackson County won more than $108.7 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $9.9 million in commissions and bonuses, while over $15.5 went to education programs in the county.
