A set of hand-picked numbers led a Missouri Lottery player to a $50,000 Powerball prize in the Aug. 19 drawing. The winning ticket was purchased at Casey’s, 604 N. Main St., in Republic.
The winning numbers for Aug. 19 were 1, 2, 15, 23 and 28 with a Powerball number of 10. In 2024 so far, Greene County players have won seven prizes of $50,000 or more on Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets and Draw Games. Overall, 2024 prize totals for the county currently stand at $27.1 million in Scratchers prizes and $2.3 million in Draw Games prizes.
Powerball is a multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m.
In FY23, players in Greene County won more than $50 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $4.5 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $27.6 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
