While at Mr. T’s Liquor Store, 510 Highway 412 in Cardwell, a Missouri Lottery player’s decision to pick up a “$1,000,000 Cash Extravaganza” Scratchers ticket resulted in a $50,000 prize.
“I go in there a lot,” the winner said. “So I thought, ‘Why not?’”
He went out to his car to scratch off the ticket, but he instantly returned once he realized he had won one of the game’s five $50,000 prizes.
“I went in and showed the girl at the counter,” he said. “She was pretty excited for me, too!”
The player went on to say he plans to pay bills and then put the rest of the prize money away in savings.
So far, “$1,000,000 Cash Extravaganza” players have won over $5.7 million prizes playing the $10 game, with over $28.3 million remaining in unclaimed prizes, including two top prizes of $1 million and four more $50,000 prizes.
In FY22, players in Dunklin County won more than $10.6 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $867,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $416,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
