While at Rosebud General Store, 248 Highway 50 in Rosebud, a Missouri Lottery player decided to tease her husband a little.
“I was being mean to my husband and bought one of the “$1,000,000 Cash Payout” tickets after he did,” she said.
As she was scratching it in their truck, she quickly realized she had won something.
“The first area I scratched was a winner, so I started hitting him on the arm,” she joked. “I was just like, ‘Oh my God!’”
Once she finished scratching off the ticket, they were both shocked to see they had won a $50,000 prize.
“I think I had a panic attack. I think he also had a panic attack,” she laughed.
So far, players have won over $5.9 million in prizes playing “$1,000,000 Cash Payout.” There are currently over $28.3 million in unclaimed prizes remaining in the game, including one top prize of $1 million and four additional prizes of $50,000.
