For three weeks, a Missouri Lottery player in Wentzville didn’t know he held a $70,000 jackpot winning Show Me Cash ticket.
“I walked around for like three weeks with the ticket in my pocket,” the winner laughed. “To me, it’s fun, and I didn’t check it.”
While he generally plays Scratchers games, the winner shared he buys an occasional Show Me Cash ticket at Save A Lot, 715 W. Pearce Blvd. in Wentzville, whenever he gets groceries. This time, the Quick Pick ticket he purchased for the June 13 drawing matched all five winning numbers drawn – 7, 17, 19, 26 and 35.
“It was shocking. I was like, ‘Whoa, I won. That’s pretty cool,’” the winner said. “It’s pretty humbling.”
Show Me Cash is an in-state Draw Game drawn daily at 8:59 p.m. with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won. Tonight’s jackpot is an estimated $96,000.
During FY23, players in St. Charles County won more than $63.3 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $6.4 million in commissions and bonuses. Education programs in the county received more than $6.3 million.
