Another $1 Million Mega Millions Ticket Sold in KC

Dec. 26, 2024

With lottery players across the country looking forward to tomorrow night’s Mega Millions drawing – featuring an estimated jackpot of $1.15 BILLION – the Missouri Lottery has announced another $1 million winning ticket sold in Kansas City. The Christmas Eve drawing on Tuesday produced a $1 million winner on a ticket sold at Cosentino’s Brookside Market, 14 W. 62nd Terrace, in Kansas City.

It’s the second $1 million Mega Millions prize won in Kansas City during this jackpot run. The first was on a ticket sold at QuikTrip, 10150 N.E. Cookingham Road, for the Nov. 15 drawing. That prize has not yet been claimed.

An additional Missouri Lottery player matched four of the five white-ball numbers, along with the Mega Ball, on Tuesday night to win a $10,000 prize. That winning ticket was sold at Kum & Go, 305 W. South St., in Ozark.

The Tuesday, Dec. 24, winning numbers were 11, 14, 38, 45 and 46, with a Mega Ball number of 3.

Prizes of more than $600 may be claimed by appointment at any of the Missouri Lottery offices, which are located in Kansas City, Springfield, Jefferson City and St. Louis. Draw Games winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In the case of Tuesday night’s winners, they have until June 22 to present their winning tickets.

The $1.15 billion jackpot for Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing – the fifth highest in the game’s history – has been growing since the jackpot was last won on Sept. 10. The Missouri Lottery reminds players it only takes one ticket to win, and everyone is encouraged to play within their means.

Mega Millions can be played in 45 states, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
