A Missouri Lottery “Stocking Stuffer” Scratchers ticket left one winner shaking after she discovered one of the game’s $50,000 top prizes.
“When I scratched it, I just started shaking,” she recalled. “I called my daughter in to double-check it since I had just woken up.”
“I was like, ‘I know I’m tired, but not that tired!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Munch N Pump, 10168 Highway 160 in Harviell, and was given to the winner as a Christmas present.
She plans to save her winnings for retirement.
“The biggest thing has been not telling anyone!” she laughed.
In FY23, players in Butler County won more than $9 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received over $833,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $2.7 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
