What a Missouri Lottery player thought was a $100 Powerball prize ended up being a $50,000 prize from the April 6 drawing.
“I didn’t think I won,” the winner shared. “I looked at it and thought I had won $100.”
The player saw she had matched four of the white-ball numbers, but she didn’t realize she had also matched the Powerball number.
“It was shocking,” the winner shared. “I guess it is a little bit life changing.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Royals Liquor, 6404 Gravois Ave., in St. Louis. The winning numbers on April 6 were 22, 27, 44, 52 and 69 with a Powerball number of 9.
Powerball is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. Tonight’s estimated jackpot is $129 million.
