The bold colors of a “$2,000,000 Ultimate Cash” Scratchers ticket caught the eye of a Missouri Lottery player while she was at QuikTrip, 7920 E. 171St. St., in Belton.
“I saw it and I felt like this might be a winner,” she said. “But I didn’t think it was going to be that big!”
After she scratched off the ticket, she couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw she had uncovered one of the game’s $2 million top prizes.
“I screamed and I couldn’t breathe! I was in shock!” she said.
She shared she has already decided to set some of the prize money aside to purchase a house.
In FY23, players in Cass County won more than $15.9 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $1.6 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $4.9 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
