A Missouri Lottery player was eager to try her chances on the new “MONOPOLY™ Doubler” Scratchers ticket when she stopped at Casey’s, 1601 E. Broadway Blvd., in Sedalia. Her excitement for the new game was met with a $100,000 prize.
As she began scratching the winning ticket, she quickly noticed it held a series of large prizes.
“At first I thought, ‘Is this right?’” she said. “I was flabbergasted when I saw the first prize was $20,000!”
The more spots she scratched, the more prizes she uncovered and the higher her prize amount grew. When totaled, she had won one of the game’s top prizes of $100,000.
The “MONOPOLY™ Doubler” Scratchers game was released on Feb. 24, and players have already claimed over $585,000 in prizes. Over $13.6 million in prizes remain, including four more top prizes of $100,000 and three $20,000 prizes.
In FY24, players in Pettis County won more than $9.6 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $870,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $800,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
