A rare purchase in Bolivar led to a big win for one lucky Missouri Lottery player when her “Millionaire Blowout” ticket revealed a $1 million prize.
“I hardly ever play,” the winner shared. “It was just a fluke deal that I bought the ticket. I still can’t wrap my mind around it!”
The winner shared the good news with her family, but she plans to keep it quiet otherwise.
C-Store Bolivar, 1342 Highway U in Bolivar, sold the winning ticket.
In FY23, players in Polk County won more than $4.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received over $460,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $1.1 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
