A Missouri Lottery player in St. Francois County won a $50,000 Powerball prize when his Quick Pick ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball number in the March 3 drawing. The winning numbers were 18, 20, 50, 52 and 56 with a Powerball number of 20.
“I was checking my ticket on my phone when my wife walked in and asked, ‘Where did you buy your ticket?’” the winner began.
He explained how she had told him that someone had purchased a winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 at Discount Cigarettes & Beer, 905 E. Karsch Blvd., in Farmington.
“I looked at her and said, ‘I’m that guy!’” he said.
Powerball is a multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m.
In FY24, players in St. Francois County won more than $12.4 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $1.2 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $2.7 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
