While out with her son, a Missouri Lottery player stopped at Casey’s, 805 Benham St. in Bonne Terre, to get gas. The decision to pick up a “Full of $500” Scratchers ticket while she was there resulted in a trip to claim one of the game’s $100,000 top prizes.
“My son scratched the first number, and he goes, ‘Mom, I think we need to go to the Lottery office,’” she said.
Thinking it was a joke at first, she didn’t believe him until he handed the ticket to her.
“He hadn’t finished scratching it yet, so I finished scratching it off,” she shared. “I was just like, ‘Oh my God! Yeah, we really have to go to the Lottery office.’”
“Full of $500” is a $5 game that offers prizes up to $100,000. So far, players have won over $5.6 million on the game and over $9.4 million remain in unclaimed prizes – including three more top prizes of $100,000.
In FY23, players in St. Francois County won more than $12.9 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $1.2 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $2.5 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
