While at Jay’s Corner Store, 1001 1st St. in Kennett, a new “Triple Cash Crossword” ticket caught the eye of a Missouri Lottery player.
“I hadn’t seen that one before, so I thought I’d get that one,” she said.
As she began scratching it off, she instantly knew it was a winner – but it didn’t sink in until later.
“I was in shock!” she said. “It wasn’t until I got to the [Missouri Lottery] office and they told me I won a $100,000 that it felt real.”
So far, “Triple Cash Crossword” players have won over $1.1 million in prizes since the game began on Feb. 4. There are currently over $15.9 million in unclaimed prizes, including five more top prizes of $100,000.
Players who purchased tickets in Dunklin County in FY24 won more than $10.5 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $827,000 in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $926,000 in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
