A Missouri Lottery player in Manchester turned a payday into a payoff when her “$2,000,000 Extreme Cash” Scratchers ticket revealed a $100,000 prize.
"I got paid and said, ‘I'll try one of those.’ I don't know what made me go with that ticket,” the winner shared. "I usually do not play $20 tickets. I'm more like a $5 ticket player.”
She was nearly finished scratching the entire ticket when she uncovered the symbol that would change everything.
"I've got a ritual when I scratch my tickets. Top to bottom,” she said. “The second to last number was the ‘Money Bag’ symbol.”
The “Money Bag” symbol resulted in her winning all the prizes on the ticket –for a total prize of $100,000.
She quickly shared the discovery with her children.
"I always joke a lot. They thought I was jazzing. Like, 'Mom, you're playing with us!'” she chuckled. “I told them, ‘No, not this time. For real.’"
The winning ticket was purchased at Energy Express, 13970 Manchester Road, in Manchester.
“$2,000,000 Extreme Cash” is a $20 game released May 28, offering top prizes of $2 million. So far, players have won more than $7.5 million in prizes.
