Stopping to eat breakfast and get a Show Me Cash ticket at Dylan’s Sports Bar and Grill, 675 Jeffco Blvd. in Arnold, is a routine for a recent Missouri Lottery winner.
“I go there to eat breakfast, and then I usually play Keno, and then use what I win to get Show Me Cash tickets,” he said.
The player explained he usually plays the same set of numbers, but that morning he bought a Quick Pick ticket, as well.
“I was shocked! I figured if I ever hit the jackpot, it would be right after it got hit!” he said, referring to the $50,000 prize associated with starting Show Me Cash jackpots compared to his $286,000 win.
His ticket matched all five numbers drawn on Jan. 28 – 6, 10, 13, 17 and 28 – to win a jackpot prize that had been growing for two weeks.
“I always said if I won, I’d buy a new car, so I think that’s what I’ll do with it,” the winner added.
Show Me Cash is drawn daily at 8:59 p.m. Tonight’s jackpot is estimated at $50,000.
In FY23, players in Jefferson County won more than $40.2 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $4.7 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
