Picking up a “$50,000 Cash Quest” Scratchers ticket wasn’t planned, but the decision would lead a Dade County Missouri Lottery player to win a $50,000 top prize.
“It was a totally random choice,” the player said about how she picked out the lucky game.
She purchased the winning ticket at J-L Beer Barn, 11 N. State Highway 39 in Greenfield, before going home to scratch it off
“I didn’t think it was true,” she said. “I just kept looking at it over and over!”
The realization she had won $50,000 didn’t feel real until she claimed the prize at the Missouri Lottery’s Springfield regional office.
“It just didn’t sink in!” she laughed.
So far, “$50,000 Cash Quest” players have won over $2.2 million in prizes playing the $3 game. There are currently over $6.5 million in unclaimed prizes, including four additional top prizes of $50,000.
Players who purchased tickets in Dade County in FY24 won more than $413,000 in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $43,000 in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $398,000 in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
