A Missouri Lottery player in St. Louis is planning a trip to Alaska after uncovering a $50,000 prize on a “$1,000,000 Cash Payout” Scratchers ticket.
“I didn’t tell my wife I’d won until later in the evening,” the winner shared. “When I did, I told her, ‘Well, I won $50,000. Do you want to go to Alaska?’”
The winning ticket was purchased at QuikTrip, 702 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis.
“$1,000,000 Cash Payout” is a $10 Scratchers game which currently offers over $21 million in unclaimed prizes, including a $1 million top prize and one additional second-tier prize of $50,000.
In FY23, players in St. Louis County won more than $207.7 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $20 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $76 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
