Scratchers Player Wins $50,000 Thanks to 'One Lousy Number'

May. 28, 2024

A Missouri Lottery player in Wentzville uncovered a $50,000 Scratchers prize by uncovering just one number.

"It was the strangest thing. It was one lousy number. Number ‘13’," the winner laughed.

He elaborated, "So one number matched, 13, but I didn't scratch the prize. When I saw it was $50,000, it just didn't register. 'What in the dickens?' I didn't believe it.'”

The winner, who purchased his ticket at Dierbergs, 1820 Wentzville Parkway, explained he chose the ticket because he gets “a bigger kick out of playing that game!"
