A trip to Signal Food Store, 610 S. Ash St. in Buffalo, ended with a Missouri Lottery player winning a $100,000 prize on a “$3,000,000 Spectacular” ticket.
“It was actually on my birthday,” the player shared. “I went in and bought two tickets.”
He scratched off the winning ticket while waiting for his wife to leave work and instantly called her.
“She was just like, ‘No, you didn’t!’” he said.
His wife quickly ran out to meet him and scanned the ticket on the Missouri Lottery app.
“She just goes, ‘You gotta be kidding me. You gotta be kidding me!’” he said. “It was a pretty amazing birthday!”
He went on to share plans to use some of the prize money to take his family on vacation.
So far, “$3,000,000 Spectacular” players have won over $46.3 million in prizes playing the $30 game. Over $61.8 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including two top prizes of $3 million and a $100,000 prize.
In FY23, players in Dallas County won more than $2.2 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $222,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $926,000 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
