A Missouri Lottery player in Macon had trouble sleeping after uncovering a $100,000 top prize on a “50X The Win” Scratchers ticket.
"I bought it because it was a new ticket. I usually play two or three of them on a Friday night," the winner explained. “This totally shocked me. I was not expecting that amount. I couldn't hardly sleep.”
She purchased the lucky ticket at Break Time, 805 N. Missouri St., in Macon.
“50X The Win” is the Lottery’s newest $5 ticket. So far, players have won more than $1.6 million on the game, and over $14.8 million remain in unclaimed prizes – including five more top prizes.
Through Aug. 20, players can enter their eligible Scratchers tickets into the “Choose Your Dream Adventure” second-chance summer promotion for a chance to win in the “Dream Vacation” or “Dream Green” drawings. “Weekly Cash” drawings will also be held throughout the promotion.
In FY23, players in Macon County won more than $2.4 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $240,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $140,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
