A Missouri Lottery player in Texas County won the first $3 million top prize on a “300X” Scratchers ticket he purchased at Fast & Friendly, 243 S. Main St., in Licking.
He said he decided to try the “300X” Scratchers ticket since it was a new game that had just been released. He admitted he wasn’t sure what to think when he realized he’d scratched off one of the game’s top prizes.
“What can I say other than I was stunned?” he said.
The winner shared he has a “rough idea” of what he wants to do with his winnings but didn’t elaborate further.
“300X” is a $30 Scratchers ticket that was released on Jan. 29. To date, players have won more than $6.5 million in prizes. Over $100.7 million in unclaimed prizes remain, including two additional top prizes of $3 million, three $100,000 second tier prizes, and eight prizes of $30,000.
In FY23, players in Texas County won more than $4.2 million in Missouri Lottery prizes while retailers received over $420,000 in commissions and bonuses. More than $398,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
