After playing the same numbers for more than 20 years, a Missouri Lottery player’s special set of numbers led to a $115,000 Show Me Cash jackpot win.
The winning ticket was purchased at Express Mart – Festus West, 801 Collins Drive South, and matched all five numbers drawn in the Jan. 10 drawing – 4, 7, 11, 29 and 34.
“My friends thought I was just crazy, but I was just like, ‘You know this just makes perfect sense to me,’” the winner said.
She shared that while the majority of the money will go into her savings account, some of the prize money will be spent on a rental property.
Show Me Cash is drawn daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won. Tonight’s jackpot is an estimated $61,000.
In FY23, players in Jefferson County won more than $40.2 million in Lottery prizes. Retailers have received more than $4 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs received more than $4.7 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
