A Missouri Lottery player in St. Louis had a hard time convincing his wife he won a $446,000 Show Me Cash jackpot, largely because he had already won a $50,000 jackpot several years ago.
“It was a surprise. I asked my wife, ‘Are you sitting down?’” he laughed. “She couldn’t believe it.”
He plans to use some of his winnings to purchase a new vehicle.
The winning ticket was purchased at Gas Mart, 11050 Riverview Drive, in St. Louis. The winning numbers on Jan. 4 were 4, 7, 13, 24 and 39.
Show Me Cash is drawn daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won. Tonight’s jackpot is estimated at $67,000.
Players who purchased tickets in St. Louis City in FY23 won more than $57 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $4.7 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs received more than $198,000 in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
