A Scratchers player in Marceline uncovered a $5 million top prize on a Missouri Lottery “Millionaire Blowout” ticket while on a lunch break.
“I thought I won $1,000 on the first line,” the winner explained. “Turns out it was $1 million!”
The prizes kept coming as the player scratched the rest of the ticket. In the end, they totaled $5 million.
The winner shared plans to use some of the winnings for a summer vacation.
County Line Convenience, 110 S. Missouri in Marceline, sold the winning ticket.
“Millionaire Blowout” is the Missouri Lottery’s first $50 game and currently offers over $149 million in unclaimed prizes, including nine $1 million second prizes and one additional $5 million top prize.
