The first of three $100,000 top prizes has been won on a Frogger Scratchers game from the Missouri Lottery. The winning ticket was purchased at Break Time, 600 Highway 5, in Tipton.
As a lifelong fan of Frogger, the winner said she couldn’t wait to play the new ticket when the game came out.
“I actually have a little hand-held Frogger game from when I was a kid that I still play,” she said.
As she scratched her ticket, she started with the play area in the middle and followed the path up to the shore.
“It went straight to $100,000!” she said. “I went, ‘No way!’”
She immediately told her daughter about her win.
“I drove up and told her to come outside, and I was just like, ‘Look!’” she said. “I was super stoked!”
The Frogger ticket features the classic arcade game theme in its play action, allowing Scratchers players to try to maneuver their frogs through traffic and across the river to safety. In addition to offering prizes up to $100,000, the $5 game is also loaded with $25-$100 prizes.
To date, $8.3 million in unclaimed prizes remain in the game.
In FY23, Missouri Lottery players in Moniteau County – where the winning ticket was sold – won more than $4.3 million in prizes. Retailers in the county earned more than $242,000 in commissions, and $92,000 in educational programs were funded by Missouri Lottery proceeds.
