While enjoying time with friends at Doc ‘N Rays, 221 County Road in Holts Summit, a Missouri Lottery player decided to purchase a Club Keno ticket. The results came as something of a shock.
“We go out normally on Friday nights and we always play Keno,” the player said.
The ticket he purchased held a combination of numbers he had picked out himself – though he added they were random choices.
After the drawing, he scanned the ticket using the Missouri Lottery app. It showed he had won and directed him to a Lottery office.
When he and his wife claimed their prize at Missouri Lottery headquarters, they were shocked to learn they had won $95,900.
“I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “We didn’t think it would be nearly that much.”
Their 8-Spot ticket matched eight of the numbers drawn to win a base prize of $10,000. They also played the Bulls-Eye feature, which took the prize up to $50,000. Since the player also played during the Club Keno “Bonus Hours” promotion, their prize amount was automatically increased. With the additional Progressive Jackpot prize, their the final prize amount came in at $95,900
Club Keno drawings are held every four minutes. The game is available at social environment locations like restaurants, bars and fraternal organizations, and it can also be played at convenience stores, grocery stores and similar Missouri Lottery retail locations.
In FY23, players in Callaway County won more than $8.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $789,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $1.8 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
