A Missouri Lottery player who purchased a Cash4Life ticket in St. Louis County for the May 1 drawing matched all five white-ball numbers drawn, resulting in a prize of $1,000 a week for life.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, 13491 Olive Blvd., in Chesterfield. The winning numbers were 9, 13, 27, 31 and 44.
The Cash Ball number on May 1 was 3. Had the Cash Ball number also been matched, the prize would have been $1,000 a day for life.
Cash4Life winners can claim their $1,000-a-week-for-life prize in one of two ways. They are given the choice between a lump-sum option of $1 million (minus taxes) or an annual installment option of $52,000 (minus taxes). Winners who choose the installment option are entitled to a minimum of 20 annual payments.
Cash4Life is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game. Drawings are held daily at approximately 8 p.m.
